After working several seasons at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Utah, my twin sister convinced me to move to Las Vegas to get better aquainted with my neices and nephews. I said I would come for the summer. That was 17 years ago. Since then, I met and married my sweetheart, at a church singles activity when I was at the ripe old-maid age of 45. Yes, this is my first marriage. My husband runs a concrete business called Simple Creations in Concrete here in Las Vegas. (Read our Concrete Blog.) After the housing market took a down turn, I decided to try an online store inspired by attending a seminar on how to make residual income to prepare for retirement. What a learning experience, but a lot of fun.

When I was young, we didn't have TV or internet to entertain us. We popped popcorn, made punch, while Dad set up the projector and we would watch silent movies, of ourselves, taken by Dad. Popcorn was a favorite treat for almost every Monday night.
